Buildling Inspector
The Borough of Sayreville is seeking a full-time Building Inspector who will be responsible for inspecting residential and commercial building projects. The applicant must comply with all provisions of the NJ Uniform Construction Code. The applicant MUST possess at a minimum a Building Inspector ICS license from the State of NJ. Possession of HHS license from the State of NJ is helpful but not required. Salary based on qualifications and experience. PART-TIME SECURITY GUARD
Sayreville Library seeks a part-time security guard. The guard patrols the grounds, building, and other areas of the library to ensure the safety of library staff and visitors. The guard protects public property against fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal or unauthorized entry. Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to command the authority necessary to implement the library visitor code of conduct. Experience working with teens is a plus. Hours are M-Th 2PM-6PM and Friday 1PM to 5 PM. SORA certification is required. The hourly salary is $16.60 and offers paid time-off and union membership. PUBLIC SAFETY TELECOMMUNICATOR - TRAINEE
The Borough of Sayreville Police Department is currently looking for Per Diem Public Safety Telecommunicator Trainees. Job duties include, but are not limited to, receiving telephone and/or electronic requests for emergency assistance, obtaining pertinent information regarding the emergency, and dispatching the appropriate services to the emergency. Must have Basic Public Telecommunicator Certification, Emergency Medical Dispacth Certification and hold a valid CPR card. Applicants should have knowledge of methods for operating communication systems and knowledge of procedures regarding dispatch and security. The salary for this position is $21.24 per hour and is a per diem position. Employee will be moved to the primary title of Public Safety Telecommunicator, with a salary of $27.32 per hour, once the 90 day probationary period has passed. For an application please click below.
