MUNICIPAL DEPARTMENT HEAD for the WATER & SEWER DEPARTMENT and TREATMENT PLANT

 

The Borough of Sayreville is now accepting resumes for MUNICIPAL DEPARTMENT HEAD for the WATER & SEWER DEPARTMENT and WATER TREATMENT PLANT. Part-Time Teen Services Librarian

Sayreville Public Library is seeking a part-time Teen Services Librarian who will create and sustain dynamic, creative programs and services for teens in grades 6-12. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated team player, with a passion for youth services, to work in an adaptive and collaborative environment amidst a growing community of teens and tweens.  EOE

Responsibilities:

Schedule, prepare, and implement teen programming

  • Develop and maintain rapport, with a diverse group of teens, through social media, in-person communication, and online reminders.

  • Coordinate teen volunteer hours in tandem with the Head of Youth Services

  • Provide reference services to patrons of all ages

  • Assist with collection development

Requirements:

     Knowledge of best practices in tween and teen services

  • Familiarity with technology and social media

  • A passion for readers’ advisory and creative endeavors

  • Experience working with Sirsi Dynix is a plus

  • Grant-writing experience is a plus.

  • Ability to work steady afternoons and Saturdays a must

Candidates must possess an MLS from an ALA accredited school and be eligible for a

NJ Librarian’s certificate.

Salary: $26.00/hr.

CHIEF ACCOUNTANT

 

SAYREVILLE BOROUGH (Middlesex County) F/T Position. Population: 42,704. Budget: Current Fund $59 million, Water Utility $11 million.  Seeking a qualified professional with a Bachelor’s degree in accounting with at least five years of municipal government experience.  Candidate will be responsible for preparation of the annual budget, financial statements, debt statements, reconciliation of all bank accounts, maintenance of the general ledger and all subsidiary ledgers.  Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel & Word a must.
