BE A RESPONSIBLE DOG OWNER

Among companion animals, dogs are unmatched in their devotion,
loyalty and friendship to humankind.
Anyone who has ever loved a dog can attest to its hundred-fold return.
The excitement your dog shows when you come home,
the wagging tail at the sound of the leash being taken from its hook,
the delight in the tossing of a tennis ball, and the head nestled in your lap -
those are only some of the rewards of being a dog owner.

Owning a dog is not just a privilege - it's a responsibility.
These animals depend on us for, at minimum, food and shelter, and deserve much more.
If you are considering taking a dog into your life, you need to think seriously about the commitment that dog ownership entails.
If you already have a dog, you need to consider if you are fulfilling
all your obligations as its owner.

What is Sustainability?

Sustainability means meeting our own needs without compromising
the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.
In addition to natural resources,
we also need social and economic resources.
Sustainability is not just environmentalism.

Calling all Animals!!Coming Soon!

The Rescue Record

The Rescue Record is a monthly newsletter that will highlight one rescue animal, their story and their breed information.  There will also be additional pictures and stories chosen along with a link to see all the submitted pictures. The stories are through the eyes of the animal. It is open for all animals, not just dogs and cats. The animals to be highlighted will be chosen by the Green Team.  The purpose of the newsletter is not only to showcase some of our amazing rescued animals here in Sayreville, but to also educate the public on the rewards of rescue, different animals and breed characteristics.  You will be able to submit your furbaby’s picture and story at www.sayreville.com once it is up and running.  Please check the website frequently or email us at sustainable@sayreville.com for the anticipated live date.
