Mission Statement
The purpose of the Board is to act as a government liaison between the Cable Television Franchisee and the citizens of the Borough of Sayreville. The Board is responsible for developing and coordinating a local access programming system for the Borough of Sayreville and acting as an advisory committee for the franchising or refranchising of a CATV system within the Borough of Sayreville. The Board makes recommendations to the Mayor and Borough Council or the franchisee for the improvement of service by the CATV system, is responsible for establishing, developing and overseeing local access programming within the Borough of Sayreville, is authorized to work with the citizens, the Board of Education as well as all other areas of local government to develop and maintain such a system, and is authorized to hear from interested persons wishing to utilize the local access channel for education, cultural, or entertainment programming.
Advisory Board Meetings
All Board meetings are open to the public. Those who wish to speak on any Agenda matter are asked to provide their name and address for the record. In compliance with the Disabilities Act, if you require special assistance to participate in a meeting, please contact the Recording Secretary at (732-390-7014). 48-hour prior notification will enable the Borough to make reasonable arrangements to ensure accessibility to this meeting.
The Cable Television Advisory Board meets the first Wednesday of each month at 7:00pm.
