Several years ago the officers of the Sayreville Police Department decided to reach out to our community for creative and financial support in order to create a state of the art, unique D.A.R.E. car.  We hoped to make such a memorable vehicle that it would become a source of pride for the entire community but more importantly increase the effectiveness of the message to resist all forms of violence and drug abuse.

The project started simply with the donation of an old police car which was supplied by the department.  Through the support of many sponsors throughout our town the vehicle slowly emerged to the premier D.A.R.E. car of not only New Jersey but the entire United States.  The "D.A.R.E. Enforcer", as it is officially named or "The Batmobile", as it is unofficially referred to by the kids has even been recognized internationally through many car magazines and websites.
