HEAP-You may be eligible to get a reduction in your gas/electric bill through the HEAP Program. In order to qualify a single person’s income cannot exceed $1,862 a month and for 2 people the cut off is $2,522 a month. RESIDENTIAL SAFETY/MAINTENANCE GRANT – If you or someone you know is in need of minor repairs to your home to ensure your safety, please let us know. (Repairs such as: Grab bars,handheld shower heads, railings, installation of smoke or carbon monoxide detectors, fire extinguishers etc…) This FREE Program is being offered through the Residential Safety/Maintenance Grant and issponsored by the State, Middlesex County and the Borough of Sayreville. In order to take advantage of this program, you must be a senior citizen (or disabled) and be a resident of Sayreville. Applications can be obtained at the office. Requests will be filled on
irst come, first-serve basis as quantities are limited.
KITCHEN/DECORATING COMMITTEE-is in need of volunteers to help with decorating the center during holidays and assisting the kitchen committee during Mayor’s Breakfast, Senior Day & Halloween. 90’S BIRTHDAY BASH CELEBRATION & LUNCHEON- will be at the Old Bridge Senior Center. This is open to seniors age 90 and over and will take place on Mon., May 15th from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. The celebrating senior may also bring a guest.
