The Community Development Block Grant Committee is responsible for the planning, oversight and administration of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), a program federally funded by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). CDBG funds are used to assist low and moderate income residents of the Borough of Sayreville. The members of the CDBG Committe are

The Borough of Sayreville anticipates recieving $62,256 of Community Development Block Grant Recovery (CDBG-R) funding through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act 2009. The Borough of Sayreville proposes to use the funds to expand the 2008 Morgan Area Improvement Project.  Please see the following links for additional information on the project.

This information will be available online for review public comment until June 2, 2009. Concerned citizens may comment in writing on the proposed project plans by contacting the CDBG Coordinator at 167 Main St., Sayreville, NJ 08872 or directly to the HUD Newark Field Office.   

A public hearing on the proposed plan will be held on May 26, 2009 at 7:30 during the regular meeting of the Mayor and Borough Council at the Sayreville Borough Hall, 167 Main Street, Sayreville, NJ 08872
